Sieve is a language designed for filtering email at or around final delivery.

Rules can inspect message properties and perform actions such as filing into a mailbox, redirecting or rejecting, depending on supported extensions.

Sieve is intentionally constrained compared with a general-purpose programming language, reducing the risk of arbitrary server-side code execution.
